Chapter 7 talked about the importance of picture books. Picture books are very helpful because they give books the extra icing on the cake. PICTURE BOOKS ARE INTENDED FOR EVERYONE. That is one thing Ms. Pickett pointed out, picture books can be used on all grades even in high school.

If You Give a Mouse A Cookie by Laura Numeroff
We have all heard of this story over and over. I thought this would be an excellent choice for a picture book because of the great details that are givin on each page. This type of story is read to younger children. While reading the book, together as a class you can make predictions on what will happen next.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
This in another story we are all familiar with. This story shows great pictures and even shows where the caterpillar has ate on the page itself. The book shows various meals the caterpillar eats. Through several days, children will be able to identify with food the caterpillar has ate.

Ferocious Wild Beasts!
